The overall mission of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County’s public infrastructure, which includes the County’s public roadway, water, wastewater, flood management, fleet, and solid waste disposal systems. We manage these important systems in an innovative and cost-effective manner to protect public health and welfare and to preserve the County’s financial investments in these systems. In pursuing our mission, we strive to provide excellent customer service and improve the community’s quality of life.
