District Attorney Ron Freitas announced today that Mister Lee, 27, of Stockton, has been found guilty following a violent robbery at Corona Liquor in January 2024, where he allegedly pistol-whipped a customer. Lee was not apprehended until a search of his residence in April uncovered multiple firearms, ammunition, magazines, brass knuckles with an attached switchblade, and several pounds of marijuana.

Stockton resident John Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of grand theft under California Penal Code section 487. On September 8, at approximately 11:16 AM, Johnson was caught leaving Kohl's on Trinity Parkway with $398.46 worth of merchandise. In a bold move just under three hours later, he returned to the same location to steal an additional $904 in goods, leading to a combined theft of $1,302.46.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced today that Kevin Fountain, 28, of Stockton, was sentenced to 17 years in state prison by the Honorable Judge Soldati after violating his probation. Fountain, a repeat offender with two prior strike convictions, was held accountable thanks to the diligent work of law enforcement and the prosecution team.

Last week, in San Joaquin County Superior Court, Judge John Soldati sentenced defendant Bashir Zakria to 25 years to life in prison. Zakria pled guilty to violating Penal Code §368(b)(1) – Elder Abuse, admitting he inflicted great bodily injury on an 81-year-old victim, and to Penal Code §245(a)(1) for assaulting another inmate while in custody. Zakria also admitted to having two prior strike convictions.

Stockton, CA – A San Joaquin County jury has convicted Antonio Hernandez, 59, on 35 counts of child sexual abuse.

STOCKTON – San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced today that 38-year-old Leonardo Cabral has been charged with two felony counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, each with a hate crime enhancement, as well as one misdemeanor count of Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer. The charges stem from an unprovoked and violent attack targeting the victims based on their race, ethnicity, or other protected characteristics.
