(Stockton, CA) - San Joaquin County is pleased to join the National Groundwater Association (NGWA), and The Groundwater Foundation and California Groundwater Association in celebrating Groundwater Awareness Week (GWAW) March 5-11, 2023.

(OAKLAND) - Water agencies in California’s Central Valley and East Bay took a major step forward in February on a joint pilot project to diversify water supplies, enhance drought resilience and restore a depleted aquifer through groundwater recharge.

(STOCKTON) - The San Joaquin County Public Works Department announced today that the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) recommended approval of the Eastern San Joaquin Water Authority Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin. This recommendation is a significant step toward ensuring regional groundwater sustainability by the year 2040 and includes measurable objectives and milestones in five-year increments to achieve long-term sustainability.

AgVenture is a free County–sponsored program that seeks to inform and educate youth about agriculture, healthy-living, and local agricultural products. Students spend two hours at the field day interacting with a variety of agriculture displays.

STOCKTON, CA – The San Joaquin County Public Works Department announced today that sections of two roadways that were essentially washed out during the massive flooding events in January, at Kasson Road and at MacArthur Drive near Tracy, have been repaired and reopened as of Wednesday, February 15.
