    Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors voted to allocate $7.7 million in federal funding towards key infrastructure projects as the deadline for spending pandemic era funds approaches. The projects cover many rural areas throughout the County and meet basic needs of residents for clean and affordable water and emergency communication network improvements. There is also continued investment in Micke Grove Park, ensuring its legacy as a local landmark for families throughout San Joaquin County. A full list of projects is attached below.

    Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors reported out of closed session that Jay Wilverding, the County Administrator, had been placed on leave and that they were seeking an agenda item for the March 26th meeting to terminate his contract. The Board indicated that this action was not for cause. Four of the supervisors voted to place Mr. Wilverding on leave, pending the next meeting, with Chairman Miguel Villapudua dissenting. Sandra Regalo, who serves as the Assistant County Administrator, has been named as the Acting County Administrator, effective immediately.
