    San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors Approves 2022-2023 Budget

    On June 23, 2022, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a $2.18 billion structurally-balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023. This reflects a $90.2 million decrease from the previous year, primarily due to one-time funding programmed in 2021-2022 including transfers of prior-year fund balance to reserves. The Approved Budget has been carefully designed to serve the public interest, while at the same time remain fiscally sound. It is structurally balanced and provides resources for the Board’s top priorities, fully funding current departmental staffing levels and, where appropriate, augments staffing to address critical operational needs.

    San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors Receive COVID-19 Updates

    San Joaquin County Public Health Officer Dr. Maggie Park told the Board of Supervisors yesterday that COVID-19 case rates and hospitalizations continue to increase but appear to be leveling off. COVID-19 case rates have slightly risen from 22 per 100,000 on May 23rd to 33 per 100,000 on June 20th . This is likely due to the latest Omicron variants, BA.2, BA.2.12.1, BA.4 and BA.5 which are all highly transmissible.

    San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors Receive COVID-19 Updates and Take Actions

    San Joaquin County Public Health Officer Dr. Maggie Park told the Board of Supervisors yesterday that COVID-19 case rates, hospitalizations, and deaths are starting to slowly increase. COVID-19 case rates have risen from 6.5 per 100,000 on April 18th to 22 per 100,000 on May 23rd. This is likely due to the latest Omicron variant, BA.2.12.1, which is more transmissible than its predecessors.

    San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and Dignity Health Announce Agreement on San Joaquin General Hospital

    The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and Dignity Health are pleased to announce that after a year of discussions and negotiations, both parties have agreed to a Management Services Agreement (MSA). Through the MSA, Dignity Health will provide advice and assistance to the County in overseeing management of the day-to-day administration of San Joaquin General Hospital.
