USDA Under Secretary Jennifer Lester Moffitt will announce funding to support and strengthen California’s pest prevention, detection, surveillance and mitigation projects to protect California’s agricultural industries and environment from non-native invasive pests.

AgVenture is a free County-sponsored program that seeks to inform and educate youth about agriculture, healthy-living, and local agricultural products.

After consultation with the walnut industry, the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office has declared the completion of the 2022 walnut harvest. This establishes the beginning of the San Joaquin County “Walnut Buying Period”.

AgVenture is a free County-sponsored program that seeks to inform and educate youth about agriculture, healthy-living and local agricultural products. Students spend two hours at the field day interacting with a variety of agriculture displays. These include everything from fruit, vegetables, livestock, farm equipment, mosquito abatement, ag mechanics, youth organizations, pest abatement, law enforcement and more! These hand-on activities complement and build on virtual content students watch prior to arrival.

(STOCKTON, CA) The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner formally presented the 2021 Annual Agricultural Crop Report to the County Board of Supervisors on September 13, 2022 for approval.
