Stockton, CA – As part of the 2025 Federal budget process, San Joaquin County recently submitted more than $13.7 million in funding requests to support six local projects that would enhance programs, services, and infrastructure throughout the County.

Today, the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) office officially certified the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election results.

Stockton, CA - At its meeting on March 26, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors named Sandy Regalo as the Interim County Administrator, following the termination of the contract with Jerome Wilverding. The appointment was made unanimously in closed session and reported out at the end of their meeting today. Ms. Regalo will serve in this role until a permanent County Administrator is named.

Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors reported out of closed session that Jay Wilverding, the County Administrator, had been placed on leave and that they were seeking an agenda item for the March 26th meeting to terminate his contract. The Board indicated that this action was not for cause. Four of the supervisors voted to place Mr. Wilverding on leave, pending the next meeting, with Chairman Miguel Villapudua dissenting. Sandra Regalo, who serves as the Assistant County Administrator, has been named as the Acting County Administrator, effective immediately.

Stockton, CA - As the 2024 Presidential Primary Election concludes, Olivia Hale, San Joaquin County's Registrar of Voters, issued the following statement: “We are pleased to report that processes ran smoothly during yesterday's election. Polls opened right on time and we saw a steady stream of voters coming in to vote in person or to drop off Votes by Mail ballots at our 153 polling places and at the 25 new election drop box locations.
