    San Joaquin County Celebrates Airpark 599 Groundbreaking

    Members of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors along with national developer, Catellus, broke ground today on Airpark 599. Located at the junction of Highway 99, Arch Airport Road, and Interstate 5, the first phase of Airpark 599 will include about 60 acres of underutilized County-owned land and will construct nearly 1.2 million square feet of new industrial space. Once completed, the project will provide much needed jobs, generate new revenue for the County and will increase economic development activity adjacent to Stockton Metropolitan Airport.

    San Joaquin County will be presenting proposed State maps and a narrative to the California Citizen’s Redistricting Commission (CRC) on Friday, October 22, 2021. This presentation will provide the County Board of Supervisor’s approved maps for Congressional, Assembly and Senate district proposed maps for the 2021 redistricting process. The CRC is holding three days of public comment which include presentations on maps between October 21 and October 23 in anticipation of their first draft maps being released on November 15, 2021.

    San Joaquin County Announces Airpark 599 Ground Lease

    San Joaquin County is pleased to announce the execution of a ground lease for development of the first of several large industrial buildings planned to be constructed on County-owned land for the Airpark 599 project. With a term of 99-years, the ground lease includes 57.97 acres to be developed with an approximately 1.2 million square-foot industrial building.

    San Joaquin County Receives Federal Census Data, Will Begin Drawing New Supervisorial Redistricting Maps

    San Joaquin County has recently received the updated 2020 Census Data and will be using that information to redraw the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. Redistricting takes place every 10 years after the Federal Census, when district boundaries for Federal, State, and local elected offices are redrawn to reflect new population data and shifting populations. The County has created an informational video to help explain the redistricting process, and residents are encouraged to draw their own lines using a mapping tool.
