    Stockton, CA - At its meeting on March 26, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors named Sandy Regalo as the Interim County Administrator, following the termination of the contract with Jerome Wilverding. The appointment was made unanimously in closed session and reported out at the end of their meeting today. Ms. Regalo will serve in this role until a permanent County Administrator is named.

    Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors reported out of closed session that Jay Wilverding, the County Administrator, had been placed on leave and that they were seeking an agenda item for the March 26th meeting to terminate his contract. The Board indicated that this action was not for cause. Four of the supervisors voted to place Mr. Wilverding on leave, pending the next meeting, with Chairman Miguel Villapudua dissenting. Sandra Regalo, who serves as the Assistant County Administrator, has been named as the Acting County Administrator, effective immediately.
