Candidates may submit a signatures in lieu petition (also called petitions in lieu) instead of paying a fee in order to run for certain offices.

There are 176 polling locations that will be open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A thoroughly trained staff of approximately 1,500 election officers will offer guidance and assistance to all who take part in the democratic process.
