Pamela Edwards, a 27-year court clerk, has been arrested for disobeying a court order (PC 166(a)(4)) after unlawfully releasing a sealed warrant related to a public corruption investigation.
District Attorney Ron Freitas stated, “Violating the sanctity of a Court Order, especially a sealed warrant, is not only an assault on our justice system but puts law enforcement and potential witnesses in harm’s way. This District Attorney’s Office will not tolerate this betrayal of justice, especially by someone who had spent 27 years sworn to uphold the very law they are alleged to have violated. We will hold all those involved in this case fully responsible for this violation of our courts and our justice system.”
Edwards's next court date is December 4, 2024, at 8:30 AM in Department 3C for arraignment.
