"This was not a random crime. It was targeted, calculated, and vicious," said District Attorney Ron Freitas. "Let this be clear: if you take a life in San Joaquin County, we will find you, and you will face the full power of this Office. Our community is not a hunting ground for criminals."
Guerrero did not enter a plea at his arraignment, and bail was set at no bail. The case has been continued to October 2, 2024. The maximum penalty Guerrero faces is Life Without the Possibility of Parole or the Death Penalty.
District Attorney Freitas commended San Joaquin County Sheriff Patrick Withrow and his detectives for their "relentless" work on this case.
