Henix was found guilty of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with the victim, who was 10 years old at the time of the incident. A family member discovered the inappropriate behavior and the police were contacted immediately. Henix was arrested shortly thereafter, and forensic evidence further corroborated the victim's account.
