San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announces the arraignment at the Manteca Courthouse for Derek W. Young, 41, of Ceres who was officially charged with the following:
- Four counts - PC 288.7 (B) Oral copulation child 10 or under with the enhancement of 667.61 (e)(4) under California’s Three Strikes Law
- Four counts - PC 288 (B) Forcible lewd act with the enhancement of 667.61 (e)(4) under California’s Three Strikes Law
- Three counts - 30605 (A) Assault weapon
- Two counts - 288 (A) Lewd act with the enhancement of 667.61 (e)(4) under California’s Three Strikes Law
- One count - PC 288.7 (A) Rape of child 10 or under with the enhancement of 667.61 (e)(4) under California’s Three Strikes Law
- One count - 220 (A)(2)/261 Assault with intent to rape a child under 18
These charges stem from 2003 to 2024 and include multiple victims. The honorable Richard Guiliani has set zero bail for Young. The next court date will be on March 5, 2024, in department 8C.
