San Joaquin District Attorney Ron Freitas is pleased to announce that the Honorable Ronald A. Northup, sentenced Douglas G. Rivaselias, 23, of Manteca, to 25 years to Life in State Prison.
On November 30, 2023, Rivaselias entered a Guilty plea to a Felony PC 261(a)(2) Rape by Force, and a Felony PC 287(c)(2)(C) Oral Copulation Upon a Minor 14 Years of Age or Older, both Strikes under California’s Three Strikes Law. Rivaselias also Admitted Special Allegations on both counts to PC 667.61(d)2) Kidnapping the Victim which substantially increased the risk of harm. Additionally, Rivaselias is ordered to register pursuant to PC 290, provide AIDs testing, and follow other standard supplemental orders provided by the People.
