San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas is excited to announce the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors accepted a $100,000 grant from Kaiser East Bay Community Foundation for the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center.

“One of the best parts of being District Attorney is working alongside my administration’s Family Justice Center to bring hope and healing to victims in our community,” said District Attorney Ron Freitas. “Thank you to the Board of Supervisors for their continued support in our efforts.”

“Thank you to the Board of Supervisors and District Attorney Freitas for the unwavering support of the District Attorney’s Office led Family Justice Center programming,” said Family Justice Center Program Manager Alexis Wilbur. “This grant funding will allow the Family Justice Center to expand mental health services to those who have Adverse Childhood Experiences.”

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) education and prevention is one of the many wrap-around services provided to trauma survivors at the Family Justice Center. The San Joaquin County Family Justice Center assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, human trafficking, and stalking navigate the criminal legal system, including filing for restraining orders and guidance through with the criminal justice process.
