Stockton, CA – As the 2024 Presidential General Election concludes, Olivia Hale, San Joaquin County’s Registrar of Voters, issued the following statement:
“We are pleased to report that overall processes ran smoothly during yesterday’s election. Polls operated efficiently, and we saw a steady stream of voters coming in to vote in person or to drop off Vote by Mail ballots at our 163 polling places and at the 25 official drop box locations.
Ballot counting is proceeding efficiently and accurately which allows election results to post as expeditiously as possible. Our office will have an unprocessed ballot report posted by noon tomorrow (November 7) and an update of results by 7 p.m. on Friday (November 8). Beginning Monday November 11, we will report every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, by 7 p.m., until all votes are counted.
I am proud of the open and transparent work we are accomplishing here in San Joaquin County, and I thank the ROV staff, along with the hundreds of volunteer poll workers – all of whom have worked tirelessly to ensure every vote could be cast, counted, and verified. The ballot counting from yesterday’s election is well underway and will continue in the coming days until every vote is counted before the December 3 certification deadline.”
