San Joaquin County's Employment and Economic Development Department partnered with the Downtown Stockton Alliance on a Façade Enhancement Grant Program to foster economic recovery and resiliency in the County.

Stockton, CA - San Joaquin County's Employment and Economic Development Department (EEDD) is pleased to announce the launch of Shop San Joaquin, an economic development program intended to support the economic recovery of the retail and hospitality industries from impacts caused by the pandemic.

Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors authorized fund transfers to support local businesses with a shop local initiative, “Shop San Joaquin.” Based on a recommendation from the Employment and Economic Development Department (EEDD), the Board reallocated nearly $1.2 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars to fund the Shop San Joaquin program with BluDot Technologies.

Stockton, CA - At its meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors authorized fund transfers to support local businesses fight retail theft and assist local shoppers. The Board reallocated $1.3 million from the Employment and Economic Development Department's (EEDD) Small Business Assistance Grant Program (SBAG) to fund the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce's Stockton Takes Action Against Retail Theft Program (STAART) and a security camera grant program.
