Substance Use Services Overview
San Joaquin County Medi-Cal eligible residents may be eligible to receive Substance Use Services based on a clinical assessment of needs through using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Level of care, length of treatment and
type of services offered are based on level of individual need.

Substance Use Services provides a full network of services for Adults and Youth including:
- Residential Withdrawal Management Services
- Residential Services
- Community Based Services
- Medication for Addiction Treatment
Substance Use Services also has population specific programs for:
- Perinatal Women
- Family Programs for mothers and fathers which includes a parenting program and childcare services
- Youth
- Individuals with Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health needs.
Substance Use Services had providers in cities across San Joaquin County and in neighboring counties including:
- Stockton
- French Camp
- Manteca
- Tracy
- Lodi
- Galt
- Modesto
