Board Approves Supervisor Rickman’s Proposal for Supervisorial District 5 Funds
January 15, 2025

STOCKTON – At its Board meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved Supervisor Rickman’s proposal to provide $16,080 From Supervisorial District 5 Funds to New Creation Bible Fellowship and $25,000 to the 209 Tracy High School Wrestling Booster Club.

The Supervisorial District Funds were re-established by the Board of Supervisors in the 2023-2024 Adopted Budget, to afford each supervisor the opportunity to address district-specific unmet needs. Supervisorial district-funded projects are subject to existing County policy and business practice.

New Creation Bible Fellowship adopted Jacobson Elementary School in 2019 during the pandemic and part of their support is distributing grocery boxes through their Five Loaves & Two Fish Pantry Jacobson Elementary School Grocery Box food distribution program. Each box provides three (3) days of food for a family of four (4).

The 209 Tracy High School Wrestling Booster Club provides ongoing financial support to the Tracy High School Wrestling Team to preserve the program's rich history and tradition of excellence, recognize outstanding individual achievements, and inspire future generations of Bulldog wrestlers. The funds provided will be used for team equipment that will give the Tracy High Wrestling Teams the opportunity to participate in a sport that teaches life skills like hard work, dedication, determination, and to strive for achievement of your goals.

“I am proud to continue my support of local organizations that serve our youth and families in many different ways. The healthy minds and healthy bodies of our youth and families can only have positive impacts on our community as a whole,” said Robert Rickman, Fifth District Supervisor.
