Language Assistance

You have the right to receive a "facsimile" ballot in one the following languages: Burmese, Chinese, Hmong, Iu Mien, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Pashto, Punjabi, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. A facsimile ballot is a translated example ballot that will help you understand your English/Spanish ballot.

Facsimile ballots will be available by mail, at an in-person polling location, as required by the California Voter's Rights Act.

Additionally,  facsimile ballots may be found and downloaded on our website at: https://www.sjgov.org/department/rov/election-information/current_election

Contact the Registrar of Voters at vbm@sjgov.org or (209) 468-2890 to receive a facsimile ballot by mail or to receive a list of the in-person location with the facsimile ballots available there.
