 February 4, 2026 - SJCEMSA Policy No. 3204B, Unprotected Area Rate Sheet Revised

San Joaquin County Emergency Medical Services Agency’s (SJCEMSA) Policy No. 3204B, Unprotected Area Rate Sheet has been revised to correct a clerical error.  To review this, and all SJCEMSA policies, visit the Policies page.

 February 4, 2026 - Seeking SJCEMSA EMS Award of Excellence 2025 Nominations

SJCEMSA is seeking nominations for the SJCEMSA EMS Award of Excellence 2026. Recipients of this award are recognized for their efforts and dedication to improving the EMS system in San Joaquin County, being a mentor and supporter of other EMS system participants, providing valuable education and feedback to the EMS system, and a commitment to helping others in our community.  Click here for memorandum. Please submit nominations no later than April 1, 2026, by email to pharper@sjgov.org with a brief narrative of the nominee describing why they should receive the EMS Award of Excellence. 

February 2, 2026 - Paramedic Preceptor Applications and Paramedic Accreditation Officer Applications are Open

Paramedic Preceptor applications and Paramedic Accreditation Officer applications are now open and will be accepted through February 17, 2026. Applications are available on the SJCEMSA Online Application Portal. The application shall be submitted with a letter of recommendation from your ALS employer verifying that you are in good standing with that employer and the employer intends to use you as a Paramedic Preceptor or Paramedic Accreditation Officer.

February 2, 2026 - Training Opportunity

The California EMS Authority is hosting an Ambulance Strike Team Leader Initial Course (ASTL 2.0) on February 26, 2026, and an Advanced Ambulance Strike Team Leader Training on February 25, 2026 (Supervisor Approval Required).  The individual course flyers are available on the Training Opportunities page.  Questions related to this class or the ASTL training program should be sent to ASTtraining@emsa.ca.gov

January 23, 2026 - RCFD Compliance Report for November and December 2025

San Joaquin County EMS Agency (SJCEMSA) has completed its evaluations of Ripon Consolidated Fire District (RCFD) for November and December 2025 performance under their exclusive emergency ambulance service agreement. The RCFD agreement establishes accountability for meeting specific standards and provides SJCEMSA with complete access to data and information on RCFD's operational, clinical, and administrative performance. The MDA agreement establishes accountability for meeting specific standards and provides SJCEMSA with complete access to data and information on MDA's operational, clinical, and administrative performance.
