SJCEMSA is seeking nominations for the SJCEMSA EMS Award of Excellence 2025. Recipients of this award are recognized for their efforts and dedication to improving the EMS system in San Joaquin County, being a mentor and supporter of other EMS system participants, providing valuable education and feedback to the EMS system, and a commitment to helping others in our community. Effective February 27, 2025, AlphaOne Ambulance Medical Services has been permitted to transport patients from San Joaquin County. If you are in need of non-emergency ambulance transportation services, please view the San Joaquin County permitted providers here.
February 14, 2025 - Non-Permitted Transportation Companies Providing Medical Transport
San Joaquin County Emergency Medical Services Agency (SJCEMSA) has been made aware of several occurrences of non-medical transportation companies performing transport to the ambulance entrance of emergency departments in San Joaquin County. Only properly permitted ambulance providers are authorized to provide medical transport of patients to emergency departments in San Joaquin County. SJCEMSA is currently investigating all reported incidents and request your help in identifying additional incidents. Click here for the full memorandum. January 16, 2025 - AFL 25-01 Interim Work Exclusion Guidance for Healthcare Personnel with COVID-19, Influenza, and Other Acute Respiratory Viral Infections
AFL 25-01. This AFL announces the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH's) new interim guidance for work exclusion of healthcare personnel (HCP) with suspected or confirmed respiratory viral infections. This guidance applies to HCP with COVID-19,
influenza, and other acute respiratory viral infections, regardless of whether diagnostic testing for viral pathogens is performed or the results of such testing.
