Textile Recycling

Textiles include clothing, linens, towels, and other fabric-based items. Keeping textiles out of the landfill helps conserve landfill space, recover reusable materials, and support California’s efforts to increase textile reuse, repair, and recycling under SB 707.

Textile Recycling Guidance

Drop off clean, dry textiles and soft goods for recycling and reuse. Please bag all items before drop-off.

Acceptable:

  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Hats
  • Purses and backpacks
  • Belts
  • Towels
  • Blankets
  • Curtains and linens
  • Other clean, reusable soft goods

Not Accepted:

  • Wet, soiled, or moldy items
  • Carpet
  • Glass
  • Metal
  • Rubbish
  • Pillows
  • Other non fabric-based items
