Veterans Services

Veterans Pension

The Veterans Pension is a needs-based benefit that provides monthly financial assistance to wartime veterans who are permanently and totally disabled from non-service-connected conditions, or who are age 65 or older.  Eligibility is based on qualifying wartime military service, an honorable or other qualifying discharge, and financial need.  The VA considers both income and net worth when determining eligibility and benefit amounts.

Survivors Pension

The Survivors Pension is a needs-based monthly benefit available to eligible surviving spouses and certain dependent children of deceased wartime veterans.  Eligibility is based on the veteran's qualifying military service, the survivor's relationship to the veteran, and financial need. The VA considers both income and net worth when determining eligibility.
