Stockton, CA - The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) announced that the candidate filing nomination period for the upcoming General Election closed at 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026.

Pursuant to California Elections Code, when an eligible incumbent does not file nomination documents by the close of the nomination period, the filing period for that office is automatically extended for five calendar days for qualified candidates other than the incumbent.

As a result, the filing period for the following offices has been extended and will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2026:

Additional candidates may file nomination documents for the listed positions (except city offices) at the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
